Web delivery may require stricter limits than a high-end desktop build. Every supported device, control method and browser increases testing scope. A 360 tour gives every user a consistent, curated view. Each panorama can be polished offline, then linked through hotspots or a floor plan. Because the viewer displays completed images rather than a full real-time environment, delivery is usually lighter and more predictable across phones, tablets and standard browsers.

Trade-offs to plan for
Users cannot stand anywhere; they move only between captured points. A missing viewpoint cannot be reconstructed by the viewer. Changes after final panorama rendering may require rerendering large images. The experience can feel immersive, but it is not the same as freely walking through geometry.
Inputs and approval workflow
Both formats need coordinated geometry, materials, furniture and lighting direction. A tour additionally needs an approved panorama map and navigation logic. A walkthrough needs the complete navigable boundary, collision rules, target platform, controls, performance target and feature specification.
